To Keep ~ Love, Sex and Poetry

To Keep ~ Love, Sex and Poetry
By: Linda A. Long

Is the wind
That carries
My wish
Made on a full moon
That shines brightly
In my window
I stand in the shadow
And listen to the
Hidden message
In the wave
As the ocean
To me
And out
To you
Lightly through
My hands
Thoughts of
Drift sweetly
From my heart
To yours
Gently pausing
In mid air
And carried by
My breadth
Into your lungs
Breathe deeply
Come to life
My lover
Let love fill
Your lungs
Putting my
Armor put aside
To reveal the
Wounded heart
Of a warrior
Wounded yet
Ready to love again
Ready to stand up for
Love sparks
From the fire
In my belly
To light jointly
With yours
As we burn together
I blow a kiss
Sending to your lips
I watch it
Float in the wind
From my heart
To yours
To ease your mind
In my absence
Rest easy
Love is yours to keep

Life Is Best When Lived Passionately

Finally, I have time to write poetry. It’s been a long week. I’ve been somewhat emotionally exhausted. Taking this day to just be, sleep, color, cook some soup and write poetry🙏❤️
Things I am thankful today:
I’m thankful a sick friend has had a few “good days” and has been able to enjoy some time with friends and family🙏
I’m thankful for my peaceful oceanview and my loving heart🙏
I’m thankful for blue eyed “muse” who inspires me to write for him🙏
I’m thankful for goodness, mercy, compassion and empathy🙏
I’m thankful for my passionate driven spirit🙏
I’m thankful I have awakened and I live in truth🙏
I’m thankful for Oprah’s Super Soul Sunday shows on OWN. They are just what i need to recharge my spirit and rekindle my fire🙏
I’m thankful for love❤️
