Break Me Free – Love, Sex & Poetry
By: Linda A. Long

Restless passions
Stir deeply
Like wine
Growing in intensity
With the passage of time
Deep rich flavors
Of desire
Heighten the senses
As these days have passed
Between us into weeks
And the weeks blended into months
Yet our
Desire deepens instead of fades
Cautious at first
Of this new spark
Uncertain of the path
It would take
Not knowing if
The pulse would slow
With the passage of time
Yet
Instead it sharpened
And has come into
Clearer view
Seeing it
Become more
Resisting it less
This passion
Presses against my chest
I feel it call
From deep within
It tries
To break free
Needing to wrap my arms
Around your neck
And pull your lips to mine
Freedom
Comes in the release
Of this desire
That I have imprisoned
It calls to you
Break me free
Break me free
Into your arms
Onto your lips
Break me free
Resistance is futile
I am drawn
Into your eyes
Break me free
This passion that breathes
Your name
Calls to you
Take hold of me
And break me free
Break this passion free

NOTE: I have over 300 poems in the Blue Love Poetry Collection. I will be reposting some of the older poems I wrote in this collection to get them reindexed in Search Engines under the new website name of Writing Holistically. I will mix them in with new poetry. I am planning for Fridays to be the day I post Poetry. I probably won’t get to post until after dinner sometime. So if poetry is your thing or if you happened to enjoy Blue Love Poetry, stop by on Friday nights before bedtime to get a fix💋🦋💙

Also, I’ve been doing some work on my site so I can include more content about health coaching. I also needed to make the site easier to navigate. Look around, you will see things have changed a bit and will continue to change. Please notice the Poetry Link in the Navigation bar. If you click on it, you now will see a list of all of the poems in the Blue Love Poetry Collection alphabetically with the date it was published. WOW! I sure have written Blue Love A LOT Of poetry 💋🦋💙 Here’s a direct link to the Poetry Page.

Writingholistically.com/poetry

I am still planning to work on selecting some of them to go into a coffee table style book with art. If you have a favorite, let me know🦋💙

Friday Night Bedtime Story ~ Blue Love Poetry

Art Blue Art

Friday Night Bedtime Story ~ Blue Love Poetry
By: Linda A. Long

May I tell you
A bedtime story
May I offer you
An escape
May I suggest you
Close your eyes
And allow me
To spin my words
Around your hips
And take you
Take you down
All the way
Down
Into my deepest
Most erotic fantasy
Imagine me
In your mind
See me
See all of me
I’m wearing
A black lace bra
With black lace panties
And garter belt
Black silk nylons
Black stilettos that
Accent the curve
Of my calves
My hair hangs
Effortlessly over
One eye
As my red lips pout
In expectation of you
I will leave
My lipstick
Wrapped around
Your manhood
As a reminder
That you
Were in my mouth
reminder
That I held you
In my mouth
And licked you
Into hardness
Until slowly
I sat on top
Of your waist
And slipped you
Deep into my hips
Imagine this
You are with me
Tonight
You are lying next
To me tonight
You can feel
The heat of
My body
Radiating onto your skin
You can hear
My heart pounding
With love for you
As I sleep
You can hear
Me whisper
Your name
As I dream
Of you
Inside of me
Let me
Tell you a story
It’s the story of the
Love I feel
For you
Goodnight
My love
I love you

Health is about more than just the food on your plate. Writing poetry, especially love poetry for Blue Love, is a spiritual practice for me. It sets free my heart. It balances my spirit and it allows me to express myself in words of love. Having spiritual practices that are authentic and honor the true fabric of your soul is important part of maintaining holistic wellness.

NOTE:

I will be experimenting on my posts with ways to present information about Health Coaching. I am waiting on a DBA to process; it goes along with my LLC. I will be working towards a new website, new logo and branding but I’m not ready for all of that yet. That will be my Summer project after school is done! I am going to take my time with it. In the meantime, I will be sharing Coaching content, tips and changing things around on this blog until I find a template (look/feel) that reflects my style. I plan to make the blog part of the website.

Although I will not be working as a full time Coach, I still want my site to be professional and reflect the full scope of the Coaching Practice I’m certified to offer. You never know what can happen when you put something out into the Universe. I actually would love to be a coach as part of my full time job 🙌😊You never know what can happen or where it could take me 🙌

I am a certified Integrative Nutrition Health Coach. I help clients find strategies to achieve a balance of body, mind and spirit so they can find their highest good in all aspects of their life.

My Loving Presence
By: Linda A. Long

I offer you
My loving presence
As a soft
Place to land
For your soul
To find comfort
After a long week
Rest with me
In the warmth
Of our Blue Love

I offer you
A love without expectations
It asks nothing more
Than for you
To be
The best version
Of who you are
And for you to reach
The greatest potential
Of your soul
I want
My loving presence
To inspire you
To be
The reflection of
God’s finest Intention
As you strive for
The highest good
For your soul

I offer you
A kindred spirit
A soul who understands
The nuances
Of a soul’s struggle
Between
Holding on and letting go
I understand
A soul
Wanting more
While accepting less
I know how it feels
For a soul
To Dream
Of a lover
In the quiet moments
And whisper
Whisper in depths of silence
To find comfort
In the connection
Of their spirits

I offer your
Heart refuge
From the harsh
Realities of
Living up to
Expectations
And honoring commitments
Yet knowing
My love
My loving arms
Are only
A reach away

My loving presence
Asks nothing of you
Yet
I still
Hold space
For our love
Shaded Blue
To match
Your beautiful
Blue eyes

I offer you
Nothing more
Than a
Loving presence
In your life
For you to
Count on
Rest in
And hold on to
In the lonely moments
When our souls
Miss the familiar
Light radiating from
Heart to heart
When our eyes
Connect

Bask in the glow
Of the
Beautiful light
I hold for you
Bask in the glow of
My loving presence
Bask in the glow
Of my love

Writing Poetry Is My Soul Food – Health Coaching

Mermaid Ocean Heart Love Bluelove Are you in touch with your soul? Can you hear it when it tries to talk to you? Do you recognize the voice within you urging to care for yourself on a deeper level?

For me, the voice of my soul often expresses itself through the written word. I write… I write because my soul needs me to write. My soul especially loves to express itself through poetry. I have been writing poetry since I was 15 years old. It is very soothing me to write my thoughts and feelings out in free verse.

Love poetry, especially, is my passion. Nothing inspires me to write more than feeling a deep connection to a man. Over the course of the last 35 years of my life, I have written poetry for a few men but none have compared to the depth and breadth of my Bluelove collection. In writing poetry for Bluelove, I truly found my voice as poet and as a woman. By writing poetry for Bluelove, I learned about myself and deepen my ability to love without conditions or expectation. By writing for him I have deepen my connection to my own soul and honed my craft of the written word.

Writing poetry is a spiritual practice for me. It provides me nourishment on a soul level. To connect this post back to Holistic Health Coaching, writing poetry for me is a mind, body, spiritual practice that balances and nourishes me holistically. According to Integrative Nutrition’s principles writing poetry nourishes me in my Primary Food area of Spirituality.

Writing poetry is only one of the ways I connect with my spirit. I also meditate, pray, practice yoga, chant mantras and paint watercolors.

How do you feed your and nourish your spirituality?

Below is a new a poem I wrote for the Bluelove Collection:

My Blessing – Love, Sex & Poetry
By: Linda A. Long

As we
Move through
This world
In different directions
Each walking
Different paths
Towards our
Highest good
I call on God
And our Guides
To strengthen us
By reassuring
That the depth
Of our spiritual bond
Will keep us connected
I have faith
That our connection
Is not defined
By the closeness
Of our proximity
Instead
It is defined
By bond of our souls
As much I
Want to look
Into your beautiful
Blue eyes
Every day
For the rest of my life
I am also aware
There is something
Happening now
Right now for
Both of us
We are both
Refining ourselves
Stretching into new skin
Transforming our souls
Striving for our best
And highest good
Perhaps
During this time
Of self-expression and growth
We need to
Walk the path
Physical alone
While still
Knowing our
Soul Connection
Our spiritual connection
Is unbreakable
It was today
I felt
I needed to
Remind you
My Bluelove
You are never far
From me
Our connection
Does not require
Your presence
For me to feel you
Our souls
Recognized each other
Before our eyes
Ever saw
The depth of
Sexual lust and desire
We have shared
Over the last five years
As we move
With the wind
Of change
Carry me close to your heart
I am not looking
To leave you
I am only
Looking to
Find a part of myself
I lost a long time
Ago when I settled
For contentment
And played smaller
Than my capabilities
In these years
Of living a life
Less than the one
I am capable
Of Living
I lost the person
I was born to be
The natural risk taker
The girl with moxie
The unhappiness
Of living without
Authenticity pushed
So hard against my spirit
It almost broke me
But it most certainly
Was never about you
You are
One of my blessings
Our connection
Nurtured and fed
My Soul
Until love
Bluelove
Blossomed in my heart
You spark my sexuality
And
Inspire my poetry
You helped me
Grow into a
A stronger braver woman
Who had the courage to
Pursue the call
Of her soul
While my body
Misses the
Energy of lust
You being near
To me stirs
Between my legs
I take comfort
In the knowledge
That our connection
Is strong and
Resilent
It’s capable of
Withstanding change
And distance
It can grow and evolve
With us
And make us stronger
Together instead
Of break us apart
Take comfort
My love
You are still my
Bluelove
And I still
Carry you
In my heart

Love Stories – Poetry

Lovers Art poetry

Love Stories – Poetry
By: Linda A. Long

Lay next to me
Whisper in my ear
All the things
You feel
In your heart
But can’t say
With your words
Let me see
What’s hidden below
Your manly exterior
Perhaps even
Trust me
Trust me
Enough to
Hold your heart
In my hands
And carry your
Deepest desires
And secrets
As my own
In the most
Private part of
My soul
Trust me
Enough to
Let go
Of what you
Hold so tight
Let me inside
Your inner world
There’s so much
I have yet to
Discover about you
So much
I do not
Yet know
Of your joys
And sorrows
Dreams and hopes
Fears and doubts
Trust me
Enough to
Share
Your experiences
With me
So that I
Truly understand
You as a man
As the man
My soul
Has known
For many lifetimes
Before this one
There is so
Much about you
I’ve yet to know
And so much
About you
Wish to understand
Lay next to me
And tell me
Your story
As I look
Deeply into your
Beautiful blue eyes
It is
In those moments
When my eyes
Meet yours
That see
The comfort
Of a kindred spirit
Who has held
My hand many
Years before today
Perhaps
You were my friend
You could have been
My sibling
You may have
Been my lover before
Our eyes
Knew each other
In this moment
You and I
Were together
Before but
It’s in this lifetime
I truly want to
Know you
I truly
Want to understand you
It’s in this lifetime
I truly want
To complete our connection
Lay next to me
And tell me
What brings
Your heart joy
What gets your excited
What is
Your biggest fear
What does happiness
Unadulterated happiness
Look like to you
As our journey
Together continues
This is the time
I am ready
I am ready
To know you
Beyond the surface
Deeper than skin
Lay next to me
And
Peel back the layers
Of your soul for
Only my eyes to see
My heart to love
Let me
Love you enough
For you to
Relax your guard
Just enough
To let love
My love
In the crack
And show you
A love without
Expectation or condition
Lay next to me
And show me
Your soul
I promise
I will keep
Your secrets
And honor
Your story
Lay next to me
My love
My soul
Needs to hear
Your story
And my heart
Needs to
Love you
Love you enough
That you
Trust me
Not to hurt you

NOTE: I am giving some thought to changing the name of this blog. While I love “Love, Sex & Poetry”, I think some people think because sex is in the title that it is a pornography blog. While I do sometimes write erotica, this is NOT a pornography blog. One of the other reasons I want to change the name is to give me some more freedom to post essays on things other than love, sex or poetry. While I don’t want to post my journal entries, I do want to post essays on health, spirituality, growth, wellness, life coaching, etc…

I am not interested in maintaining two blogs… so, I want to use this blog to host everything I write. It will also give me a place to share information related to my health coaching business. While school gives me a free website for year, I am waiting until after I graduate in May to design it and launch it. I don’t have the time to focus on that right now. I am starting a new job next Monday. I am pretty excited about it and I am looking forward to freeing up space to learn more about it. I am also committed to ensuring I grow in that role so I can make it a permanent gig 🙂 I will need time and space to grow into it. So, I only want one personal blog for now while I focus on my career development and fulfillment.

If I do change the name, I will be sure to give notice and post the new name before hand so folks can change their bookmarks. While the number of my followers with WordPress accounts is under 90, I do get a lot traffic and hits to my site everyday from other sources. It can vary day to day- but yesterday it was 141 and today it is only 25 so far. I will post the new name before changing it so, hopefully, I don’t lose people who actually like to read it 🙂
